Multiple felony charges for Oregon man

Felony charges are very serious, especially when multiple charges are filed at once. When a crime is committed, police will look for every charge that applies. In some situations, the number of charges can add up quickly and leave people in a lot of trouble.

Recently, an Oregon man has been charged with multiple felonies including second-degree assault domestic violence, second-degree assault, attempting to allude police, unlawful possession of a firearm, third-degree malicious mischief and others. As a result, he is being held on $175,000 bail in Clark County Jail while he awaits his criminal proceedings.

According to police, they were called about the man's interactions with his son's mother and her male friend. Police claim that the man went to his son's mother's house to bring gifts for the child. After the man left, the woman discovered that he had taken her phone with him. The man returned a short time later with the phone, which lead to an altercation between him and the woman.

During this fight, police say the man threw the phone to the floor. Furthermore, police say that during this altercation, the man pulled out a gun and pointed it at the woman's male friend and demand he leave the residence. The other man complied before the woman also pulled a gun. Eventually, police were called by a neighbor.

Police say they were able to track down the man after an alleged car chase.

When so many charges are filed against a person, it can be hard for that person to know where to start. However, by creating a criminal defense plan, people will be able to attack each charge head on in order to avoid serious penalties including prison. With the right help, sometimes charges can be reduced.
